Hello!

We’re Calvary Chapel Newcastle, and we’re grateful to be joining your neighbourhood.

From Sunday 24 May, we’ll be meeting each Sunday at 10:00am at 1 Foxdale Avenue, Dudley.

We know a church moving into the area can raise questions, so we wanted to introduce ourselves, let you know what to expect, and make it easy to get in touch.

Who We Are

Calvary Chapel Newcastle, or CCN, is a local evangelical Christian church that has been meeting in Newcastle for more than twenty years.

We are a church community made up of people from many ages, backgrounds, and stages of life. Each week we gather to worship God, hear the Bible taught, pray, and encourage one another to follow Jesus with faith, hope, and love.

Our desire is simple: to be disciples of Jesus through worship, word, and witness. We worship God, we are shaped by His Word, and we seek to bear witness to the good news of Jesus in the way we live, serve, and care for others.

As we move into the neighbourhood, we want to do so thoughtfully and respectfully. We hope to be a good neighbour, a steady presence, and a positive part of the local community.

A Church in Newcastle, for Newcastle

We believe the Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. Church is more than a weekly service – it is shared life in Christ.

At CCN, we want to be a church that is: Gospel Centred, Deep in Scripture, Real in Community, Generous in Mission, and Simple in Devotion. These values shape how we live together, serve one another, and engage our city.

If you’d like to explore the biblical vision shaping our life together at CCN, this three-part teaching series is a great place to start.

If You’d Like to Explore Faith

You may be visiting this page simply because we’re new to the neighbourhood. But if you’re also someone who has questions about life, faith, God, or Jesus, you’re not alone.

We know many people are curious, cautious, or unsure what they believe. We want to be the kind of church where honest questions are welcome, the Bible is opened carefully, and people can explore who Jesus is without pressure or pretence.

If that’s you, we’d love to welcome you on a Sunday or help you find a good place to start. Below is a video by one of our pastors, Dave Deane, giving an overview of the gospel.

    Our Heart for the Neighbourhood

We want to be good neighbours.

That means we want our presence here to be marked by humility, warmth, respect, and service. We’re grateful for the opportunity to gather in Dudley, and we genuinely hope to contribute something good to the local community over time.

From time to time, we may host events, ministry activities, or community gatherings and the default assumption is – you’re invited! When we do, we want them to be thoughtful, considerate, and open-handed.

So, if you ever have a question, concern, or simply want to introduce yourself, connect with one of our elders or ministry leaders, we would be glad to hear from you.
